 Dopo un viaggio aereo lunghissimo di ben 33 ore via Trieste, Milano Malpensa, Atlanta, Seattle e finalmente Fairbanks ( Alaska ) , sono riuscito a fare un breve sonnellino di 5 ore! Oggi poi abbiamo incontrato l' amico musher tedesco - Canadese Sebastian Schnuelle e siamo andati con lui al blood test ( controllo generale del sangue ) ed elettrocardiogramma del suo team di 24 Cani per l' Iditarod. Sono gli stessi cani che useremo per la nostra impresa sulla pista della Yukon Quest ! Ha dei cani molto gentili e socievoli.
Il giornalista - musher Marco Mazzocchi di RAI DUE, Sebastian ed io abbiamo cosi' girato le prime scene video in ambiente pre - gara durante il test veterinario di tutti i cani del suo team ! Prima di partire ho dovuto indossare due paia di calze terniche ed i bunny boots ( le ingombranti scarpe super isolate di gomma bianca ...! ) perche' se no i piedi mi si gelavano .... Durante tutto il giorno la temperatura non e' mai salita al di sopra dei - 35gradi con punte di - 45, in citta' di Fairbanks.
Stasera Marco e suo fratello Matteo mi hanno invitato ad un incontro di World Lega di Wrestling dove - tra i tanti - nell' ultimo match ha "combattuto" e "vinto" anche il mitico John Sina ! Ero talmente stanco e pieno di sonno che mi sono addormentato diverse volte tra le urla della folla per i loro idoli. Sinceramente non mi ha entusiasmato .... anzi annoiato a dire il vero. Sono senz' altro dei bravissimi attori ...
Domani accompagno Marco Mazzocchi, Matteo - suo fratello - , il produttore di Rai Due Stefano e l' operatore tv a fare alcuni importanti acquisti di abbigliamento anti freddo cos' vedo anche io le cose che servono a noi ed ai nostri Cani. Appena riesco vi amndo anche alcune foto ...
Sono ancora molto cotto per il viaggio interminabile e non vedo di andare a nanna subito. Vi saluto tutti affettuosamente.

After an endless air trip of 33 flight hours via Trieste, Milano, Atlanta, Seattle and Fairbanks ( Alaska ), I could finally manage to take a short sleep of 5 hours ! Later on today we met the German Canadian Musher Friend Sebastian Schnuelle and with him and his 24 Huskies, we went to the blood check and the EKC for his Iditarod race. They will be the same dogs that we will use to follow the Yukon Quest Race! His dogs are very nice and gentle.
The Rai Due TV journalist - musher Marco Mazzocchi, Sebastian and I could so shoot the first images pre race during this first vet check of his entire team. Before going out I had to wear 2 pairs of thermal socks and my Bunny Boots ( the super warm white rubber Army boots ...! ) to avoid my feet to freeze.... During all day the temperature never raised more than - 35 C with boosts around - 45 C, in the town of Fairbanks.
Tonight Marco and his brother Matteo, invited us to a meeting of Wrestling. Among the others, in the very last game, fought the Champion John Sina ! I was so tired and sleepy that I fell asleep several times even with the yelling of the present crowd. Sincerely it did not excite me .... instead I was getting bored and I believe that they are all very good actors ...
Tomorrow I will take Marco and his tv crew to make some important shopping of cloths and underwear against the cold weather, so I will also check our personal and our Dogs ' list of needs. I am still very tired from this extended journey and can' t wait to go to bed immediately. I greet you all very warmly !
