INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE SERVICES OFFERED BY THE INTERNATIONAL SLEDDOG – MUSHING SCHOOL OF TARVISIO – FUSINE ( UD ) - Via Verdi 21 – 33010 Fusine in Valromana - ITALY, also National Centre for the ITALIAN MUSHER SLEDDOG SPORT FEDERATION – F.I.M.S.S.

We are the International Mushing – Sleddog School in Tarvisio – Fusine (Udine) Italy. We have 40 sled dogs mainly of Alaskan Husky breed, 12 sleds and four Instructors to teach this wonderful Sport all Year round on fabulous winter and summer trails.

In the WINTER TIME we offer for the beginners a 1/2 hour individual lesson where you can personally drive your own sled pulled by min.2 to max.4 dogs with an Instructor's supervision at the cost of Euro 23,40 all included. Groups of more than 6 individuals will pay Euro 19,50 each person.

If you'd like to make longer trips you'll have to book in advance and in this case the rates are proportional to the length of the trip starting at Euro 32,50 an hour each person

For the super enthusiasts it is possible, according to the School's commitments and only in December and January, to arrange a Basic Course of 20 hours - even in a long weekend format, at the cost of Euro 600 excluding room and board.

We are also included in the "HOLIDAY CARD of the Tarvisiano" project, which allows you a 30% discount on our full price individual 30 minute rates rates ( Euro 16,40 instead of 23,40, the individual lesson and Euro 13,60 instead 19,50 for the group lesson ! ) It is also possible to make a 1 hour Guided Tour of our Centre (minimum 5 persons at the cost of Euro 5 each) every day , upon reservation, between 10 to 12 a.m. or 2 to 4 p.m.

In the SUMMER TIME we offer a 1 hour walking tour – Dog Trekking - with one dog and Instructor or 30 minutes of Grass Sledding – tour guiding a sled on the grass towed by a 4 wheels moto bike ( Quad ) - at the cost of Euro 23 (reduced to Euro 16 when using the Holiday Card). Groups of more than 6 persons pay Euro 19 each participant ( reduced to Euro 13 when using the Holiday Card ).

In the Winter we suggest you to dress like for Skiing or wearing some warm pants and jacket, gloves, hat and comfortable shoes " apres ski " or trekking type ( Moon Boots are too big ! ), to allow you to move easily on the snow. In the Summer it is sufficient to use comfortable trekking dresses and shoes. Tennis shoes with a good grip are OK.

We are located in FUSINE near TARVISIO ( Udine ) on the main National Road n.53 leading from Tarvisio to the border with Slovenia - Kranjiska Gora. In case of lack of snow at our School we will indicate an alternative place for the lessons. Enjoy your time and remember that you must ALWAYS BOOK in advance because often we are really busy with groups of adults and children who come to us to experiment the emotion of this exciting sport, and in this case we can not accept any more people.
